Create your Formcrier account
It's free for 10 alerts a month, with no card. Add your website, then create a secret key under Integrations & API keys.

Install the Formcrier plugin
The plugin is waiting for its place in the WordPress.org directory. Until it's there, email [email protected] and we'll send it to you, or use the script, which works with the same form plugins.

Switch on your Contact Form 7 forms
Paste the key under Settings → Formcrier. The plugin lists your Contact Form 7 forms. Switch on the ones you want alerts for.

Choose where alerts go
In Formcrier, connect WhatsApp by scanning a QR code, or add a mobile number, Telegram, a Slack or Teams channel, or an email address. Then press Send test alert.
How it works with Contact Form 7
- Only real enquiries
- Formcrier waits for Contact Form 7 to accept the message. A form that fails its own checks sends no alert.
- When the email fails
- Contact Form 7 reports when your site's own email couldn't be sent. You still get the alert, so a broken mail setup doesn't cost you the enquiry. You can switch this off for a site.
- Nothing changes
- Your forms, their emails and any other plugins carry on exactly as they do now. Formcrier only listens.

It doesn't change how your site sends email, but it means you no longer depend on it: the enquiry reaches your phone on WhatsApp, a text, Slack or Teams, and is saved in your dashboard, whatever happens to the email.
